LETTER FROM THE PUBLISHER

In this publication we focus our area on users of your websites and how to revamp your site in iterative stages as part of an ongoing business strategy. To help inspire our thinking, we focused on small businesses that are determined on getting that leading edge which is a vital key, and that means re evaluating, redesigning and revamping what worked or at least what seemed to work yesterday.
For this edition of the ldreport , we begin with a column from Puleng Malete, Usability Infiltration where he discusses the importance of user experience and how to infiltrate companies who don’t really care about usability and user experience really anymore than they care about thermal dynamics or electricity.
In the following column of the report I discuss web content accessibility issues and guidelines. With accessibility, almost everything you do to make your website more useable to people with disabilities has additional benefits that help all users and the website owners themselves. For example there is a significant overlap between what you do for accessibility and what you do for mobile web design, what you do for search engine optimization and what you do for user-experience consulting. This topic gives us exciting and informative insights and wisdom, from industry and individual perspectives. A special thanks to the individuals who help with this publication with very short notice under some circumstances.
As always, we welcome your feedback.
